Thanks Everyone -

The good news is that the front springs and shocks are new within the last two years or so. I'm not sure about the ball joints, tie rods, etc.

As for the van pulling - when i said it wasn't real noticeable - well it wasn't - but then my PS pump started leaking and I removed the belt - it's a lot more noticeable now - it has a definite pull to the right (still I've felt a lot worse).

i was more bummed that my relatively new tire is shot :( Oh well - I got a gift cert to Discount tire for Christmas :)

Thanks again to all of you who piped in here. I guess I got the inspection, new tire(s), right back to the shop route.
