Dave,

First, a rejoinder to your second paragraph. Yes, the weather in San Diego is perfect. It's just for that reason that we need climate control for those few times when temperatures are out of range (range = 72 to 78 degrees F).

More seriously, fog is an issue on the coast, and condensation is a problem for the insides of the windshield, usually a little after nightfall.

The manual explains the use of the levers, but it is phrased in such a way that it is eminently forgettable, not to mention opaque. Since I'm single and usually drive by myself, what I'm interested in doing is optimizing climate control for myself. Four levers, with infinite variability in each case, is a lot to process.
