Subject no matter.  In the body put:

SET VANAGON NODIGEST
END

The END merely ensures that listserv doesn't try to process your .sig
line if there is one.

Below are some other things you can do.:

Help                                           Obtain a list of commands

THANKs                                         Check the server is
alive - if it is you'll get return mail "you're welcome" within a half hour.

CONFIRM      VANAGON       Confirm your subscription
                                                (when LISTSERV requests it)


SET          VANAGON options                  Alter your subscription options:

              ACK/NOACK/MSGack                  -> Acknowledgements
for postings
              DIGests/INDex/NODIGests/NOINDex   -> Ask for digests or message
                                                   indexes rather than getting
                                                   messages as they are posted
              Mail/NOMail                       -> Toggle receipt of mail
              REPro/NOREPro                     -> Copy of your own postings?

CHange                                         Change your e-mail address:
              VANAGON newaddr                  -> On the specified list only

INFO         <topic>                           Order a LISTSERV manual, or get
              <listname>                        a list of available ones (if no
                                                topic was specified); or get
                                                information about a list
