Don, what is your battery voltage? If you have a failing battery it can give you a low voltage figure from the alternator. If the battery is 12.5 volts then I would say, try a new voltage regulator and see what happens. I have tried it many times. Very few times does it actually work, as the main culprit is usually the bearings going bad and allowing the shaft to tilt, but if yours is a recent Bosch rebuild and the bearings are good then it could be the VR.
