Since we have a new member and also a number of recent counterexamples, I'd like to remind Volks that we request you remove unnecessary leftover material from previous posts from your own gems of wit and wisdom. Briefly quoting the particular idea you're replying to and then replying below it is the preferred method.

To some of you this seems entirely a non-issue. I assure you that there are others who find posting brief replies on top of a large mass of unused quoted material to be somewhere between rather irritating and...well, a lot worse than that. A general rule of Netiquette is that your original material should be at least half as big as the amount you quote (and that what you do quote should be relevant).
