The job of the Cat. is to burn unburned fuel. It's only doing it's job. Gets hot when there is too much to burn. If you disconnect your O2 sensor, it won't do it. But then your computer is not working exactly as it should, receiving no input from the O2. Most likely the O2 is to be changed. But first check it with your Volt meter. The readings are in the Bentley book. I think, it is moving between 0 and 1 Volt. Zoltan
