Hi Mark,

Many of the items you mention are common problems on baywindow buses and similar-era VW's (beetles & rabbits, etc) that I have seen; though in my experience only a few of those pieces are typically problems on a vanagon. I think your issues are a mainly the DPO and the climate that your vanagon spent its life in.
