Wiped it off and all is well. Greg, you probably already have a notion about this, but just as a reminder, that "dark slime" could indicate something amiss. It could be as simple as the cooling system needing a flush and coolant replacement, or it could be a mechanical problem that generates the slime (like blow-by oil getting into the coolant, not likely if the van has been running well). If there is dark slime on the sensor contacts, there likely is elsewhere, so at minimum, I'd flush and replace. mcneely |
