1953 Jag C Type. #18 at Le Mans. Duncan Hamilton/Tony Rolt. That would be the first use of Dunlop disk brakes. I actually touched the chassis of that car at Mr. Cunningham's Museum in Costa Mesa. Why just the chassis? The car was in Coventry when the factory burned down in 1957. It was acquired for Mr' Cunningham's collection in 1986 and has since been restored by Mr. Hamilton's son Adrian.

My Vanagon has front disk brakes that trace their lineage straight to that specific automobile.
