My favourite goes like this:

Two guys are out hiking in the Monashees and disturb a grizzly feeding on
salmonberries.  She immediately begins to come toward them grunting
ominously.  One hiker whips off his pack, yanks off his hiking boots and
begins hurriedly lacing up a flashy pair of running shoes.

"What the heck do you think you're doing?" says his fellow hiker, "you can't
outrun a grizzly bear."

"Oh I'm aware of that" replies his friend, "I just have to outrun you!"  ;)
