well how about preventing it happening again ? a 2.1 rotor should never be put on the shaft dry. anti-seize compound. and actually ...almost no treaded fasteners should be installed dry ..particularly screws into the engine block, like water pump screws for example. no dry spark plug threads either. it's not installing the part .. it's installing the part carefully with a mind toward ease of working on it in the future. 'just putting the part on' ...that's really only incidental, to the actual process of doing very good car work. that's how a lot of poor car work gets done. People think slapping the part on is doing car repair. It's not. It's the art of carefully installing and fine tuning things, and treating, treating against corrosion etc. many 'tune ups' are just parts slapped onto the engine ...which is not artful careful useful long-lasting car repair at all.

Since it's a dizzy rotor, i'm not sure I'd use pry bars. :-) You can carefully crack the plastic rotor with vise grips or the like. It may be better to remove the dizzy first. Chris.
