When vigorously cleaning the pins, be sure to do it gently, as the plastic
tends to be a bit brittle.

|Nope.  Bad gauge.  To make certain, pull the 42/43 relay on the relay
|panel.  If as I firmly expect the symptom continues you have a bad
|cap inside the gauge which you can fix or I can.  Pmail me.

|If the symptom goes away when you pull the relay, pull the level
|sender from the pressure bottle and clean the pins vigorously with
|Scotch-Brite then report results.  While you're back there looking at
|the pressure bottle, inspect closely for impending cracks.  I'll have
|a couple pictures up shortly.
