Will point you to pix that include the Pyromid in the desert. The Pyromid was invented by an aquaintance, Paul Hait. It is very efficient. I have used one for years. The one in the picture is 20+ years old and is shown with a Woody Dutch Oven (vintage of course). The Original WDO is NLA and sells for a small fortune on the used market. There is a company remaking the WDO and a proper web search will find them. Using the WDO and the Pyromid when ground fires are not permitted is great. Both the Pyromid and the WDO are diswasher and river sand safe. Using an 8" cast iron skillet (Griswold preferred) , totally rad cornbread with hatch green chiles can be crafted to amaze the younger players. I have several Pyromids for sale. There is another critter called an Outback Oven that you might care to investigate too. Pensionerd On Wed, Feb 23, 2011 at 3:59 PM, Mark L.
