If you use the correct spring-type clamp, N 016 410 1 (remark says 40 which I suspect means 40 mm) it will keep always the correct pressure on the hose, never too tight, never too loose...

Yes, you can damage by overtightening. But what should be there is a flat band type spring clamp, and it will always be in correct adjustment.

If you do manage to glue the hose to the fitting...could be an interesting time getting it off, and another interesting time getting a replacement to seal correctly.
