  I've driven this particular '88 GL for 13 years and this is the first
time anything of this sort has happened. I suppose it could be Vanagon
Syndrome - but I suspect it is more than likely the ignition switch -
and I had the fore sight to buy one a little while back. This switch in
all probability is the same age as the van - 23 years.
