My wife and I were in the Synco at the top of a mountain (or what they call a mountain here in the Smokies) when the accelerator cable broke. We were alone, around 60 miles from home, well out of call range and about 15 muddy, steep miles from pavement. I had some rope which I tied to the cable at the engine end, ran over the seats to the front and drove it home with this "hand throttle".

Not 8 hours later on the way home in the driving sleet along highway 18 near tiger mt. - *snap* - and the gas pedal goes limp. > > I wish I had a spare accelerator cable! Let see, with some fishing line and chewing gum... Fortunately I'm only 60 miles from home and I have AAA

Blessed be!
