Zolly, I just took a look at a board that was working "when it felt like it" and it's got several that can be seen by naked eye and easily with a modest magnifying glass. I'll get pictures up in a day or two. They're in locations that would be easy enough for a novice to work on as well. One possible snag is that two of them are literally burned so that the part will have to be removed, the part and the hole cleaned up thoroughly and then the part re-soldered in place and more silicone glop applied (to try to prevent what it obviously didn't prevent). Still, with careful attention to web tutorials on electronic soldering/desoldering I think anyone reasonably handy should be able to do it without hurting anything.
