Silver NOT!! And here is why. A couple of years ago I was talking to the guy at the local body shop about painting the top of the pop top white or silver. It was a warm, sunny day. He took me over to some vehicles that were parked outside the shop. One was white and another silver. Then he told me to put my hand on each. The white car was a little warm but the silver one was to hot to keep my hand on!! He explained that the only silver colored paint that was avaialble and would hold up on a vehicle gets the silver from the metal flake in it. And that it doesn't reflect the heat from the Sun. But that most whites or shades thereof did a good job of reflecting sunlight. So, there may be a silver reflective coating out there that would work but not in a body paint.
