OK, I stand 're-advised' that my spare ECU should go into my traveling
spares. In fact, I found it under the bench seat anyhow, just now, and I
*am* traveling on an extended trip. My whole under bed cabinet is pretty
much full of spare parts only..I do carry a great many hoses unique to my
engine (Yes, an inline VW gas motor) a spare CV joint, a gallon of coolant
and a gallon of H20 for the cooling system, an oil and filter change, a
water pump, voltage regulator, my old but good spark plugs and all the stuff
mentioned below except the starter and all the bulbs. I also carry my worn
clutch...dunno why...no way to change that without a floor jack and a floor,
for that matter.
