You didn't immediately check the tire pressures and lug nuts torque ?? ( and direction in your case )

You have to, if you want to be sure it's right.

This is what I tell my tire store these days .or any tire store ..

"I am not interested in a FAST job, I am interested in a GOOD job .. and I will pay extra to have it done right. "

isn't that silly ? ..offering to pay extra to get what you should get automatically anyway. People seem to think there is some virtue in 'speed' per se, when it comes to car repair. It often leads to mistakes, which sure ain't news.

but really .....it's totally foolish to trust they did it right .. they 'do not' do it right some significant portion of the time. And it could potentially kill people .. They think they are so thorough with the torque wrench .. sure .. but what good is the job if the tire pressures vary by 4 psi between highest and lowest ? .. when they are trying to put in 4 equal amounts of pressure in the four mounted tires.

you know what they say .. if you want it done right, do it yourself. That works. The sheer amount of sloppy stuff I see in profession car repair is just astounding ...it would take phone book size books, in several volumes to even begin to mention all the really bad, 'wrong' and sloppy car repair I've seen over the years.

at least check the lug bolts/ nuts and tire pressures yourself.

which 5 rotation pattern you use does not matter too much .. that you use the same pattern every time is the main thing to respect.

FWIW,

You gotta watch the tire jockies at Discount Tires(probably all). I told the manager when I went in for rotating my Hakkas that they were directional tires, & he said yep, & then the jockies rotated & crossed them over so that I was running 2 tires backwards for a couple of hundred miles till I noticed & took em back for correction!

They gave moi a $50 off card for their mistake, after I got perturbed in their waiting room full of other folks, but they did make the correction IMMEDIATELY when I went back.

YMMV,

Mr. BZ-never open a tire thread w/o proper warning
