Well, my owner's book (VW Vanagon GL Campmobile, 1991, 2.1 waterboxer) says to avoid using fuel with alcohol. When I am where I can get alcohol free fuel, I get it, even though I pay more. Same thing for my Toyota Prius (the book doesn't say avoid the alcohol fuel, but I get better gas mileage, which to me means the engine is running better). Besides, I don't like to pay folks to commit environmental sin, which growing corn for fuel is. Sinful in other ways, too, like driving up food costs. mcneely

Besides the obvious loss of fuel economy (my syncro dropped from 18 to 16-17 when they went to all E10), what would be other consequences? > Anthony'89 Syncro GL (Hidalgo)
