The part of the ignition switch that burns out burns out because it powers the headlights. Putting in one of the headlight relay kits protects the ignition switch as well as the headlight switch. Where have you guys been? The wipers are already on a relay, as are the heater fans. But their relays are turned on by the same part of the switch that powers the headlights so when the headlights eventually cook the ignition switch the other stuff acts up too. Putting in the headlight relays thus protects more than the headlight circuit.
