If I let up, it idles again. Have to keep touching the gas
pedal until it revs UP a bit instead of slowing, then I can go again.
I had this exact thing on an 86 GL with 2.1 engine and auto trans the other
day ..
'it would go, but then it wouldn't' ...
and everything on the engine is pretty fresh and properly adjusted ...
but it did not have a Vanagon Syndrome harness on it ..
I put one of the two spare ones I have on it,..
and by golly ..it fixed it.
And it has not stumbled or missed a beat in daily driving in the 8 days or
so, since it semi-stalled out /stumbled 6 times in a row ......after l I put
on the VS harness .
last one I fixed for flooding ..
it was throttle switch not making contact..
and a Temp Sensor II that was good cold, but whacky hot.
and I often find the timing too advanced.
