All you need is a wire with clips on the end, long enough to reach from the starter control terminal to the alternator B+ terminal. One of the set of larger Radio Shack jumper wires, the ones with crocodile clips, works great. I leave one permanently rigged with the (shielded) end hanging down near the alternator.
