No, no more stories about my problems trying to get these Audi A6 rims to fit my Vanagon. I gave up, could not find a machine shop that would do the work for a reasonable price (One shop wanted $200.00/rim!!) So, I gave up and bought a set of Vanagon alloys. But, still not content, I kept looking and finally found some after market sport rims, brand new, for a Mercedes, $150 for the set of 4. 15 inch by 6.5. Anyway, yesterday I put the Audi rims on Craigslist. This morning I have a response from someone that wants to buy them tonight. Sure, I think, I've heard that before. But the person asks for my address and directions to my house. Sure enough, they show up-driving a Vanagon Westfalia!! They parked around the corner from house, and I went out to meet them and said "I'm really shocked your driving a Vanagon!" They wanted to know why. I said pull around the corner into my driveway and you'll see. We got a good laugh over that. Luckily, he didn't want the Audi rims for the Vanagon, he already has Porsche rims on it. He actually has an Audi A6 too. So, luckily for me I got my money back on the rims. Now once I get tires for the Mercedes rims I will have 4 Vanagon alloys for sale.
