Well maybe I should start doing that 5 tire thing.  I've always
thought of the spare as temporary, even when it was on the same size
wheel.  So I didn't expect to put it on and drive 1000 miles.  I do
like the advantage of having a fairly fresh known good tire as a
spare.  What I've usually done is take the best of the 4 I am
replacing and make that the spare.  However, the best of the 4 I took
off when I bought the current proper set of tires was a crappy
underrated car tire.
