I have a 6000 btu unit and it works great. The good: Infra red heat is cozy It's vented and keeps things dry on the inside There's a thermostat It lasts quite a e on the aux battery and propane (1-2 weeks of keeping the van at 55-65 in sub-freezing temps) It's fairy quiet The bad It takes up space You don't want thing too close
