This is a deep one-meter dish with a big enough cooking area to hold two moderate pots - they say it will feed 5-6 people. I personally don't see why it costs 369 euros, up from 299. And it takes 10 minutes to put together, all those reflective leaves to weave together. But the kicker is that at best it's going to take about twenty minutes to boil a liter of water (their 1.4 meter dish is rated at 700 watts and claims to boil a liter in nine minutes). For comparison, a Westy stove burner at 5200 BTU/hr is 1500 watts or so (or two horsepower, incidentally). Yours, David |
