In my neck of the woods (Carlsbad Raceway), it was the damn Suzuki RM that started kicking everyone's butt in the '70s. Couldn't stand that Roger De Coster, but he sure was good.

Good lord an Ossa? I used to race against those guys on my Montessa Capra VR 250!!! Those and Husquies, and those &^*^&%!!!!! Elsinores when they showed up and kicked all our butts! :-) Ah those were the good old days. Remember Maico's that could dig a trench with that back tire and big knobby?? (Van content) That was when the first Type 4 engines were just coming out in the Bay windows. ;-) Courtney
