I agree with Dave, i haven't been able to figure out a way (easy way) to keep the main tank above 0 C. I've had the tank freeze, didn't damage anything, but I wouldn't make a habit of it.

Jugs o' water is a clunky but workable solution I admit. I've had them freeze too (-5 C over night in van). Had to melt snow that time :)
