hi all, I'm sure the normal indication is after you start a water cooled vanagon .. the LED flashes for a few seconds then goes off.

I have an 85 I' working on ...( installing a tach...so watching dash functions carefully ) and ....the second it fires up , the LED is out.

Had two different tachs and thus temp gages in it - same thing.

checked my 86 GL ...same thing ...out instantly at start up...which is not really right pret' sure.

One wonders if all features will work as advertised when they are acting this way ..

and control unit ?
