We are removing the engine which needs headgaskets from a relatively low mileage 1984 Vanagon. It's yours for the taking if you remove it from the vehicle by next weekend. It's complete with a good alternator but I am keeping the AC compressor. It still runs but has a compression leak into the coolant. If no takers by next weekend, a local shop will get it from me. Wanted to give first opportunity to listmembers. Van has about 97k miles IIRC.

The van is presently in Rancho Cordova, CA but will be moved to San Francisco later in the week. Blue interior will be available. Rear GL (not Weekender) bench is free. Front seats $50 each. Also for sale is the 4-speed trans ($350). Good front clip available for $50 if you cut. $250 if we cut. Manual rack, free if you take it out. $100 if we take it out.

Basically, anything from the sliding door forward except the Behr in dash and anything in the engine compartment is available. Using the rest for a project.

Please pmail, if you are interested.

Regards,

BenT
