Only if your injectors are dirty & causing an uneven spray pattern AND only
if STP Gas Treatment actually cleans them!



But my experience is the product is worthless and belongs in the "snake oil"
category.



Want to increase your mileage?



Keep the engine tuned

Watch your tire pressure & make sure the pressure stays on the high side

Replace any worn suspension parts and have a quality 4 wheel alignment done

Run synthetic 5W-20 oil

Drive more conservative (might be impossible in a Vanagon)

Buy gas from a station that sells alcohol free gas - this will have the
greatest impact

Remove any accessories from the outside that may be causing drag like extra
wide mirrors, etc

Remove unnecessary weight

Fix any loose trim
