There are lots of pointers to BOBs (Bug out bag,box or whatever) also under "Git Box" Interesting, what people consider necessities. We have squirreled away cat food among other things. One thing to remember, others who did not have the foresight to prepare for themselves will covet your equipment. Best not to flaunt it. Try camping in your driveway to test your survival mechanisms. Easy escape to fresh sheets if you need to. (In some locales camping in your driveway can be very unpleasant) Rotate the stock in the van periodically. If you have a westy you can buy outboard motor fuel tanks ~5.5 gallons that fit very well into the well above the cab. Should the mud hit the mixmaster, you likely will need to "camp out" for several days. Just like camping, eh? Except for refueling and resupplying which may be in question depending on circumstance and location. Remember the motto of Club 642. pensionerd |
