I'm studying up in an attempt to get my Amateur Radio license. (Basic) Assuming I pass, I would install a rig in my Westy. With all that is going on, it occurred to me that keeping the batteries topped up might be a crucial, but easily overlooked part of prep. I'm sure I'm not the only one that lets his aux. battery sit idle for a month or two. ;) Neil.
