Not a DeadHead; never was. Not a Hippie nor a part of drug culture, even in the 60's. Most folks on the list are pretty much accepting of most others, and I like that. 'Nuff sed. Memory foam helps two ways. It makes the bed a bit more comfortable physically, and it makes the bed warmer. It think it tends to cradle you a bit and it definitely keeps cold air from coming in between the two mattress halves. When I sleep cold I spend all night rolling over trying to find a warm spot. I bought the kinda overpriced GoWesty version and like it; it has a cover that comes close to matching the upholstery in the van, and it conveniently folds up and fits in the space (which some will say doesn't exist) at the very back of the upper berth.
