Jeff…

As a grandfather, why do I somehow already adore your two year old and we have not met? Watch her carefully through the years. Your heart and mind will be full of challenge and virtue throughout the experience … 8:) All good stuff…

Now, on to the Mac… someday (if I live long enough) I'm gonna give Steve Jobs a spanking! Tiger is sure better than Panther… but, still doesn't cut it for Java and online movies. As others have offered, band-width & connection speed can have a profound effect on video smoothness, but. Tiger is about all one can get out of a Power PC chip, without super geek-dome powers. I'm not in that league. Yeah, upgrade is about all that is left Jeff… sorry.

Do not hold your breath Jeff, about support in old age. My daughter could dance a pretty good Copppelia by age 8. Could sing an Aura and dance the legs off Flash Dance by age 12. By age 13 she was leaning towards liking guys. Dang, I knew I was doomed for working till I dropped.

Work overtime, purchase another Macbook and keep the software updated… sorry, Apple Stock rocks…..

Not sure if i can upgrade the OS beyond that with the old Power PC chip or if the more recent upgrades are Intel chip only. > > My two year old is pretty excited about my iPad (got it from work for some reason) and keeps poking my laptop screen. Not good! She's figured out the Netflix and Youtube icons and is going to get me into trouble one of these days. Thomas the Train is a big hit. She was counting to ten at about 18 months. Seems to be pretty bright. Maybe she can support me in my old age ... > > Thanks everyone > Jeff
