You may want to add an additional bracket which mimics the double brackets on an '86 and newer WBX. Here's what I did on my previous 1.9 to help stabilize the alternator: http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b7/misterpolak/Misc%20VW%20nuttiness/AlternatorBracketMod.jpg
