I had the starter on my '87 automatic die on me last Wednesday and even had to have the wrecker toll it to the shop I usually use. I had them instal a rebuilt unit

Here is my question: When I picked the van up they told me they thought I had issues with the fly wheel. I dissigree with that but the new starter will do fine the frist start of the day then after that, it will stall and I have to let off on the key and then turn the key back to start maybe once or twice before the enginge will start.

I beleave it is a no good starter because the staarter never free wheels like any teeth on the fly wheel would causee.

I am thinking of taking it back and get them to replace it with another rebuilt starter.

Please share your opnions as I need to get something done soon.

Chris
