Back in the day a number of oils were popular amongst the performance and import crowd. This one one of them. Castrol GTX, Cam 2 and a few others were also popular especially for the higher viscosity crowd. Assuming this oil is new enough to have the ratings the Vanagon originally required I see no reason not to use it. keep in mind that even today this product is still a high ZDDP additive product which while is good for our cam shafts can be bad for the O2 sensor and Catalyst. Be carefull not to overfill.
