I'm a repeat of the "Princess and the Pea" story. If there is somehting lumpy under there, no matter how small, I'm gonna feel it and it's gonna be like sleeping on a growing bamboo shoot. In my mind - and my feeling - it's going to become painful and feel as big as Mt Vesuvius by morning.

Drove down the Alaska Highway sleeping on a doubled egg-crate foam with an additional 2 inch straight foam pad underneath. Slept like a baby. The egg crate foam craddled well, and with the three layers there was enough depth that hips and shoulders didn't bottom out on a hard spot. It was great.
