There was such a gale in Big Sur we drove back to Hwy 46 to hit 101 - thankful for the clearance as slides and rocks were all over the road, it was amazing.

County road G16 (carmel valley road) to 101 to King City to G14 to Mission road to Nacimiento road to Lucia ... nice country check locally for road closures.
