I moved from central Calif to Portland, OR in the late 60's and it didn't change my outdoor activities at all. Was there for just over 5 years and I like golfing and hiking and fishing at the time. I just wore rain gear and trudged on.

Were I there now, with the van, I "think" that would make being out in it even more likely, even given my activities are mt/road biking and hiking/camping/photography.
