How do you fit three people on the bench seat? I did the 3 point conversion, and intended to put a middle lap belt in, but the spacing just doesn't work -- seat is not wide enough. Also, I considered that the middle bolts/anchors probably are not rated for holding a third person in a crash. I actually did put the middle lap belt in, but removed it after the above considerations. mcneely ---- cesar quiros <cesarquiros@HOTMAIL.COM> wrote: > Go to a junkyard and do like this guy did. > > On my to do list. > > http://www.kayakwesty.com/seatbelt.html > > or > > http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=244354 > > > > > > > > > > > > Date: Fri, 25 Mar 2011 08:54:03 -0600 > > From: vanagon85@GMAIL.COM > > Subject: Re: 3 point seatbelts in Westfalias > > To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM > > > > Hi Jeff, > > > > If you can find somebody parting out a '90 or '91 GL or Carat, most of those > > came with rear 3-point belts.
