Michael, The Listserve adds the prefix "RE:" to the subject line of every reply to an original posting. However, the Listserve ignores the "RE:" when indexing the subject titles and keeps the replies with the original posting; just check the archives and you'll see.

It may well be that, as Bob Stevens states, your Gmail settings do not ignore the "RE:", thus treating the replies as a separate thread. While I utilize a Gmail account, I do not receive individual e-mails from the List, preferring digest mode, so this has never been an issue.

What does interrupt a thread, is changing the subject line as Bob did in his reply, which is now in the archives as a single, stand-alone message, not linked to your original question.
