Congratulations, Tom. I did something similar years ago for the dame reason.

Just for laughs, I told my mechanic to leave the clutch pedal in place. I suppose it was a subconscious way of insuring that if I changed my mind in the foreseeable future, it would be that much easier to reverse the process. I still like it. Driving in San Francisco hills and traffic are that much more tolerable.

Since my mechanic also did mine practically for free, I told him I will deal with the neutral safety switch and back-up lights on my own. After all these years, they remain waiting to be done. I should have known myself better.
