I understand the feelings generated by the clear cuts, but on the other hand the logging roads provide access. And you can get a better view of the valleys etc. One interesting thing about that first campsite was that down on the bridge crossing the river below that site, we saw a bat flying around feeding at around 5- 6pm. Still broad daylight and I thought earl in the season. I tried taking pics of it, but the bat came out blurred in the shots.
