I have one in a Jetta. They only sold 750 of them in the US. You might not want one in a vanagon without some modifications. They were not made for power but for burning clean. If you take the fat over to the vanagon in the conversion, then you would have a clean(er) burning Vanagon, but nothing like a TDI I'd think. But if you take off the Eco-Diesel pump and install a standard VE turbo pump with aneroid, then you would get the full power expected in a TD. The ecodiesel with hydraulic head is a very nice engine, by the way.
