vice grips on the brake hose...
sure , rough on the hose , but sure.

I have a friend who just loved using a BB  under where the brake line screws
into the caliper or wheel cylinder to block it off there....can run just
fine on 3 brakes that way.

of ...one  can heat and 'mash over' a brake line ..kinda brutal though and a
'one-time' thing.

but yeah ..
