There's a small gash in the flange where I scratched it taking a seal out
with a screwdriver (knucklehead move.) So I know where the leak is. It
just drips about a 1" spot on the ground every time it's parked. I think
the sealant keeps it from leaking for a few months, but then breaks down.
The best solution would be to pull the transmission and have that surface
professionally repaired; however, I've never had it rebuilt and I figure I'm
on borrowed time at 200k miles and the original 3-4 slider hub.
I just ordered another seal and cap, so I'll get into it hopefully this
weekend.
Thanks
Joe
